New York map illustration
I was approached by the art director of Omni Escapes magazine to create an illustration for their Berkshire Place location, which is situated in the heart of midtown New York. The project's design brief was clear - a map of the surrounding area with mini illustrations highlighting locations that Omni's guests could explore during their stay. Given the water surrounding midtown NYC, I opted for a muted palette of blues and greens, which complemented the other elements on the page. With some feedback from the art director, we finalized the piece, which you can see here.
1 Inch Flood Illustration
Texas Heritage for Living magazine needed a series of illustrations that focus on preventative measures homeowners can take to avoid costly home repairs. This illustrations depicts the extent of damage that can occur from just an inch of water. The design brief required me to showcase fifteen different items while considering the spacing needed for editorial elements. To accomplish this, I opted for a dollhouse aesthetic that allows each item to be easily discerned visually before requiring any reading.
